On Wednesday 13 December, Ofgem published a direction to issue and implement the Future System Operator (FSO) Transition Funding Governance Document, following the regulator’s 11 December 2023 decision on the updated version of the Governance Document, to reflect consultation responses. The document makes provisions around the arrangements for the recovery of costs for FSO Transition Activities and imposes requirements on the Electricity System Operator in relation to recovery of costs for FSO Transition Activities.
