On Monday 10 October, Elexon issued its response to the REMA consultation. The repose addresses a number of issues including: Split Markets/Green Power Pool, Locational Pricing (Zonal and Nodal), Distribution-led Local Markets and Contracts for Difference (CfD).
On the issue of location pricing, it said “assessment is that there is a risk of reduced investment in renewables and disproportionate outcomes for inflexible consumers. However, we have also set out potential mitigations of those risks so that, if this route were chosen, a transition could be managed properly”.
